Visual artist, Patricia Coulter, is fascinated with the beauty that can be found in the rural landscapes in northern Alberta. "Capturing the colors and shapes of nature with the challenging medium of watercolor has become my passion! I want people to look at my paintings, slow down and reflect on the fleeting beauty of the changing landscape. I hope my paintings help people to feel the spirit of the place, breath the air and feel the prairie wind on their skin!"
Capturing the prairie landscape has long been a passion of visual artist Patricia Coulter of Cold Lake, AB. In both photography and watercolor painting, Patricia’s goal is to capture that special moment.
Patricia has received many awards for both mediums. In 2008, she was awarded a Merit Award in Watercolor from Staedtler Mars Company. In 2005, her painting “Prairie Sentinels” was chosen for the Celebrate Alberta Competition featuring the work of Alberta artists.
She was the Second Place winner in 2006 Staedtler- Mars watercolor competiton. Her works hang in private collections in Canada and internationally. Read more...
